    I use a pre-62 Winchester model 70, in .270 caliber, with my own handloads. I use a super fast Hornady Vmax, 110 grs. It's never let me down.

    I love hunting with mil-surps. My last 4 deer were taken with an M-44 and my last hog was taken with an M-24\47 Mauser. I love my Mod. 70 Win. in .270, but there's just something about using an "ancient" technology for taking game that resonates with me.

    I hunt with a winchester model 70 in .300 win. mag. never had any problems, love it.
