Ammo Hoarding Axxhats!

Alright boys and girls, I'm starting to get pissed at all of these jerks buying up multiple cases of ammo at a time and then trying to gouge fellow shooters for it. Where's the honor in buying up all of the flu vaccine your MasterCard can support and then tripling the price, when you really only need one dose for yourself? This is gouging, plain and simple and I'm sick of it! We're seeing guys buying more ammo than they can shoot in a year, just because they can. WTF? As an example, there's a rumor here in Abilene that CDNN bought 17 PALLETS of ammo from WalMart for $79.99\case and the posted it on their website for $149.99. This is unconfirmed, but my stepson knows an employee there, so I'll find out for sure.

I'm sure we'll see the opportunists who try to benefit from this panic situation...
...and the rest of us will be grateful we purchased additional ammo and reloading components months and years ago.
Hopefully we'll all be able to ride this out until the situation improves...
...and then we can avoid buying from the opportunists who tried to take advantage of us during the shortage.
That being said, I feel your concern over the present situation...Posted 04-12-2009 at 10:19 AM by LiveToShoot

I totally agree toolman, these jackasses are ruining the fun of the hobby for the rest of us.
I personally know of several gentlemen who bought large quantities of powder and primers, and they don't even reload! they bought it so that they could sell it double the price to their desperate buddies who do reload.
It would be nice if these selfish @holes could leave that stuff for people who need it. I work at a gun shop, and I can't even get ahold of components! how ridiculous is that?
I hope and pray that this will end before long, because it is really beginning to wear on my patience.Posted 04-12-2009 at 07:30 PM by Midas

Well, said to all. This is getting old, and would be nice to resume shooting at the price I was acustomed to, once again. I suppose the only way to get back at these people is of course not to buy from them, and look else where, a small form of boycott. There is enough of us here to look for deals for each other, networking at it's finest.Posted 04-13-2009 at 02:03 AM by FISHPOND

I believe that prices will continue to escalate as long as ammunition is purchased as rapidly as it is brought to the marketplace. Better get in and purchase what you can while you can.
Even though living in a free market society sometimes has drawbacks it still beats the type of world that the new administration has planned for us. Good luck to us all.Posted 05-03-2009 at 01:08 AM by Drill Sergeant
