Protesting!

Posted 09-25-2008 at 11:31 PM by toolman
I've decided to protest all of the idiocy over politics by deleting as many of my political posts that I can find on G&G. It's getting to where you can't express your opinion without being flamed, the thread removed, or getting off into stupid-land crap totally unrelated to the original post. I know who I'm voting for, leave me alone and vote for whoever you like without talking down to me and all will be rosy in the land of the free...

Political meanness!

Posted 09-05-2008 at 12:07 AM by toolman
OK, I know this is a slippery slope,
a lot has changed in the last few years and we now have access to more info than ever before, but we're also constantly bombarded with pure KRAP! We all have our own opinions and ideas but where do we draw the line between right and wrong?
Our recent discussions here on G&G have caused me to ponder where our sense of decency has gone, some in our midst have no qualms about publicly trashing people not directly involved in an election if it...

Dammit, I did it again!

Posted 08-29-2008 at 12:19 AM by toolman
I told my wife I was going to bed early tonight. The grandkids lost their minds when we put 'em to bed, (as usual) and it took a good hour to get them to sleep. When it gets nice and quiet, I get to actually concentrate without the sounds of a 7 and 8 yr.-old trying to kill each other and the next thing I know, it's after 2300 and I have to get up @ 0630. Now I have to go shower and entertain my wife until she goes to sleep, so I may get to close my eyes by 0100 if I'm lucky. I'm tired, I think.......

Crap! Not Again...

Posted 06-29-2008 at 12:20 AM by toolman
Well, it looks like another shooting day has been ruined by rain.

We were going to the farm tomorrow and I was going to stretch the somewhat new .270 out to 200 yds and see how well it shoots.

Unfortunately, it's raining like hell and if it rains out there, I can't even get to the field where I shoot. It also means I can't get to the back of the other field to rebait my hog traps.

We always need rain around here, but the timing really blows. ...

Hotter'n Hell in Texas!

Posted 06-19-2008 at 09:06 PM by toolman
Man, work was brutal today and it rained for about 1\2 hr, this morning, so the humidity went throught the roof when the sun came out. I stopped about for about 15 min. to eat lunch in the air-conditioned office, but the rest of the day was spent standing on concrete working on hot-ass cars in a shop with very little ventilation.
I love my customers but the job is wearing me out!
