| Great time for fishing! Here in North Texas we have had a huge amount of rain in the past few days. All the water ways are filled to the brim. After a quick scouting trip to flood plain; I was literally running back to the house for my bow. There is something about this time of the year and rain that starts a spawning FRENZY among the local carp and gar populations. If you have never bow fished you are missing out! There are no bag limits and you don't need any specialized equipment. (For non-game species of course.) On a good day there is lots of action and shooting opportunities. Check it out you won't be disappointed! |

| Yeah, I have seen this, one ole' boy was walking around the marsh one day, he was real proud of the several large carp he had. There not too bad smoked. and fun to hunt/shoot. I'd use an older bow his was pretty funky with the fish slime and all. did look like a lot of fun!
