First deer with the Bow

Last night I got my first deer with the bow. This is my second year bow-hunting and last year I missed a doe. Around 6:45 two fawns walked through the trail that my stand is on. I was watching them and then from the corner of my eye I spotted a bit of brown in the alfalfa field and it was a 6 point buck that i have seen a few times before but never have gotten a shot at. He went strait for the cornfield and stayed out of range. A second buck followed 20 yds behind but he started walking towards the trail that my stand is on and i was able to get a quartering shot at 40 yds and he went 75 yds and died. It was a double lung shot and there was a ton of blood to follow. It turned out to be a nice 8 point buck with is about as big as they ever get around here. now I'm hooked for life.

Thanks. I was shaking for 1/2 hour after i shot it. It is both my first deer with the bow and my biggest buck for both bow and shotgun
