| Nation's delima hits local boy scout troop I received this email today from our scout master, Preston W. Gentlemen: It is with profound regret that I must advise my inability to participate in Scouting activities for the immediate and foreseeable future. After three years of comfortable retirement, I suddenly find my life in turmoil and uncertainty, and am confronted with having to relocate to another city, forthwith! As a matter of explanation, what most of you do not know is that for many, many years I have served on the Boards of Directors of both The American Warehouseman's Association and The American Mover's Conference; and in so doing, automatically am subject to the tenants of the National Defense Transportation Act of 1955, wherein in times of either declared or perceived impending national emergency, the membership of said boards shall be called into the service of The United States, either via commission directly into a predetermined branch of the military or into Federal Civil Service within the department of Transportation, at either the direction of the President or the Secretary of Defense. Over the past weekend such orders were disseminated by Sec. Donald Rumsfield, in my case, to report forthwith to Marine Barracks at 8th & I, Washington DC, whereupon arrival to act as adviser to the Commandant United States Marine Corps in areas of cargo logistics and personnel relocations. Said orders have not been made public nor have they been released to the media. In view of the fact that you are Scouts and assumed trustworthy, I am authorized to make you privy to certain facts pertaining to this matter. The President, ever the compassionate conservative, has deemed in his infinite wisdom that contrary to normal conservative fiscal practices, the Federal Government of the United States will participate fully in funding of private individuals involved in the coming crisis. In essence, what is afoot, gentlemen, is that your government is going to fund the coming relocation of disgruntled liberal Democrats to Canada. In my advisory capacity, I will also recommend that as long as we are spending federal dollars on such a humane project, why not go the last full measure and spend a few more dollars on the construction of super highways running from key entry points along our Mexican Border (And this is the salient point - Sans Exit ramps) with no exits to the closest U.S. Border crossing into Canada and the environs of Quebec City. Canada wants immigrants; I think it behooves us to be good neighbors and help them out. Toronto, for example, has stated that it would like to have an additional 200,000 citizens over the coming year. With my plan, we could satisfy their needs for the next 200 years in about 2 weeks. Last, but not least; if we exported Liberal Democrates to Canada, the Intellegence quotients of both countries would rise. Sincerely Please contact your senators and congressmen and support these worthy causes.

| I like the idea of a highway from Mex to Canada with no exits

| Too good to let this thread go idle. Wonder what the '08 elections will look like.
