| Senior Member | Please go and thank him for what he's doing. Even if you don't have any kids in his program. It's a rare breed that can stand up and teach our youth about being GOOD these days. It just doesn't get any better than Scouting. |

| I was in boy scouts from cub to explorer, quit when I went off to college. we had some great scoutmasters that took us on trips that usually included living off the land or sea. we even could take our guns on camping trips to hunt for our meals. we ate just about every kind of small animal found in south florida.

| Senior Member | I'm an Assistant Scout Master, does that count too? Yes sir, I thank other Leaders whenever the situation arrises. Scouting is a great mentoring program if done right. Example, Fathers are adult leaders with the same first name, Mister..... Also keeping scouting compartmentalized. Meaning as a parent, keeping the bad experiences or mistakes to the scouting experience. | Amen to you all! And I thank you, as a scout myself, Mr. FullMetalJacket. We appreciate all of the hard work that goes into scouting. From what I've seen, it can often be a thankless job. But we'll remember. I had the chance to be a Counselor in Training at Camp Crooked Creek in Kentucky, and it is amazing how dedicated scoutmasters (and assistant scoutmasters) can be to the wellbeing of us scouts. They have been very supportive of me as I work on my eagle project. I would like to thank all of those that spend their time, not only on meetings, but their weekends as well, teaching us how to tie knots and fix broken legs. Thanks to you all, Life Scout Cowboy |

| As an eagle scout, I would like to thank any and every scoutmaster who is out there for helping out the young men of tomorrow.

| I looked up my old scoutmaster this past spring. I never found him. He got divorced, went into foreclosure, and went bankrupt. Seems things got pretty tough for him once the mill shut down. I was a scout a long time ago. |

| Senior Member | At the Blue Angels November Homecoming show 2007, I made it a point to thank ANYONE I saw with a Scoutmaster/asst badge on for helping out the kids! It does seem like Scouting had a much larger presence back in the 70's & 80's...or at least we were pretty dang active...I remember walking into Sears and they had all three uniforms on display in the Clothing section. Shame they don't do that anymore.
