Slow Shipping

I ordered a gun from browning and was told 6-9weeks for it to arrive. I have heard rumors that Browning is painfully slow and that the wait could be incredibly long. My cousin ordered his BPS from them and it took half a year for them to finally send one. Anyone else ahd bad experience with them?
