The United States Army | Fort Hunter Liggett

Try Fort Hunter Liggett. It's beautiful, largely unoccupied, and it also has great campgrounds. One of my favorite places. There are also accomodations available both on the base (the Army calls it a "post" as in out-post) as well as in King City nearby.
