Talking Roll call

Anyone do any shooting lately? Just bought a 10-22 Target rifle. Haven't picked it up yet but when I do I'm off to the range. At least I'm hoping it will improve my shooting skill for the monthly match that I shoot in. If it doesn't then I'll know it's the shooter and not the gun. Might be gettin on in years. Ha.

I went to the range last week to put some rounds through some new Ruger BX-25 mags I picked up for a good price from MidwayUSA. Put a few rounds through my USP as well. Also planning to grab my father's new SR9 and bring it back with me after visiting my parents this holiday season.

I try to go to the archery range every day, sometimes twice a day, sometimes 3 times a day. Shooting arrows is not really shooting though, because there is no shot involved in it. It is really launching. Archery was the first missile weapon system in the world. We know from stone carvings and archaeology that the ancient Egyptians and Assyrians used archery as distant as 5000 years ago in their battles.

Archery season is normally my first chance to get into the Sierra. If unsuccessful with my bow, then I will return with my rifle. That's when I will go to the range with the Remington. It normally takes me 3 rounds to sight-in. Then I clean it, and it is ready to go.

Got a new Archangel target stock for my 10-22 T Ruger. Now with the black composite stock and the black spiral cut bull barrel it looks really awesome! Can't wait to try it out! Been shooting cb longs just to get the feel of the stock and I think it's going to be worth it compared to the laminate stock it came with. It was pretty but not comfortable to shoot. Not enough drop at the grip. Had to extend my trigger finger out too far.

I try to get to our gun club atleast once a month to shoot with my 14 yr. old daughter. We were out last weekend shooting Trap. I was looking at a GSG AK-47 22 for a Christmas present for her..She already has the GSG MP-5 and she really like shooting it..
