Camping trips

Anybody out there planning a camping trip soon. I'll be going next Wednesday. I love going this time of year. The weather tends to keep people from camping. We could have the whole campground to ourseves. If your heading out let us know how it went.

Been awhile since the Missus and I went camping, but a couple years back we were returning from Wisconsin from a family reunion (hers) and came accross a wee little state/county campground right along the mighty miss in I think it was Missouri, you know as pretty as it was and in the middle of summer and clean and neat for some reason we were the only folks in that campground we liked it so darn much we spent an extra night!

I had a weekend 'overnighter' planned for early this month, but it fell thru - one of the guys can't make it.
Heck with it - I'll go out alone to a little spot I know in the woods!

If I were to get back into camping, now would be a good time to camp.
It gets so Hot and Humid here in So. Arkansas that to me summer is a bad time to camp, but 1000's of people do camp here in the summer and Arkansas has so much to offer campers.
I know many here are proud of there states they live in, and so am I.
In our sales tax a portion goes to our state parks and tourism along with other funding that we have a lot to offer folks that like to hunt, fish and camp and not to mention the many sites to see here.
Check us out some times on the net, you might want to move here...A.H

AH, when you talk about hot & humid, I think about lake camping. Up at Greers Ferry, at the Dam site campground on the N. side of the dam it is my summer campground. It's at the base of the dam and the cold water coming out of the dam keeps it 10-20 degrees cooler than elsewhere. There's lots of good lakes in Ar to camp on. Plus there's fishing and swimming, boating, girl wat.. bird watching, etc.
