at least they are alive. i would be a little frustrated in myself if i missed, but i wouldn't care for too long. i am still alive haha

In my opinion, they're really only good for close in self-defense when I can't use my sights, to insure a hit rather than a miss, to prevent accidently hitting an innocent bystander, etc. In that case, I'm sure my position would be known anyway.

For target shooting, they're great if you're shooting at exactly the distance they're zero'd to. Any closer or farther, and the dot goes out of sync with the POI by a little bit. I wouldn't try taking a head shot at 50 yards with 'em anyway.

Yeah I agree. I think it's probably a really good training device for gun n00bs like me.
