Which one, every state has their own but it mostly says if your state has ccw that it will be honored, if the states have a recipricity agreement. I hope that answered some of your question.

I live in Alabama and our CCW is honored by GA,FL,TN, and so on. We have 21 states that recognize our permit. Check with your county sherrif where you get your permit, they should have a list of other states honorng yours.

Yes, FL has a site like this

Concealed Carry Reciprocity - Division of Licensing, DOACS

Maybe GA AG has the same ?

If not, to be completely sure you'll need to read the statute and/or contact a lawyer -- alternatively you'll need to write to get the AG opinion from your state. However, PA went through a thrash with this with about 3 months of on again/off again recognition of FL permit (eventually decided in favor of FL non-resident permit being valid in PA).

citylivin: click the link I provided above your post. According to that source, CA reciprocates with 14 states, mine included. If something has changed there I for one would like to know so that I dont make a MISTAKE when visiting.

Due diligence would be to contact the AG before I actualy went there.

Georgia recognizes permits from Al. Ak. Co. Fl. ID. IN. Ky. La. Mi. Ms. MT. NH. NC. OK. Pa. SD TN. YX. UT. & Wy.
The Georgia permit is recognized by, Al. Co. Fl. La. Ms. MT. NH. NC. Pa. Tx. WY. & of course Vermont, who doesn't care if you have a permit.

AK--sorry to jump in but your link (and the ones I have) don't work both ways (as you probably well know). While a California permit would be honored in Indiana, ther reverse isn't true (i.e. an Indiana permit won't be honored in Kalifornia).

It is quite confusing as most states have their own standards. As a "general" rule; most states will honor other states that regulations equal or exceed their own. As a result, some states will honor a state that will not except theirs. Confusing huh?
That's one reason, IMHO, that a federal CCW would be helpful and make sense. I personally don't worry about the man knowing I carry as he already knows and has so other tags on me now, one more doesn't matter. It's kinda like the CDL license I have now. Issued by Ark but honored in any state. Makes sense.

I just took the CWP course here in SC, and they offer the Utah class too, which recognizes something like 30 states, so I said WHAT THE HEY! and once the instructor is certified to teach that class, he said we can go in, pay our 50 bucks, and get one for utah also! No course to take since he should have been certified by now!
