| Сергей Иванович Мосин ![]() | California CCW So my friend was denied CCW by Sheriff Rupf in Contra Costa County today. Apparently the fact that he works business that has quite a bit of cash and he is responsible for carrying it some of the time does not make him eligible for a permit. I'm missing Forsyth County Ga where we walked in, filled out the paperwork, did the fingerprinting, and then 1-3 weeks later you'd get a pretty CCW license in the mail. Forget this place... I swear. |

| Senior Member | Yep. I went to the Sheriff's office, in Stanislaus County, Ca., and asked about a CCW, as I carried large amounts of money, and thousands of dollars worth of tools. They told me, that IF I could qualify for it, it would only be good in that county. What good is a CCW that's only valid in the county where you live? I traveled the entire state, during my career, and just decided not to worry about it, and luckily never had a problem.

| I have had a Arkansas CCW permit since 1996, it is now good in 30 other states. One must remember this is a privledge and not a right. Mr. Obama wants to do away with state ccw and will do so with a federal law if elected. Also that wonderful man wants to register all ammo sales. Mike

| Сергей Иванович Мосин ![]() | I know. I wrote a note to Senator Osama's "Contact Us" thing a few months back asking them to clarify exactly his stance on CCW, however they never responded. I suppose they think that if they never answer that I'd vote for Senator Osama. Not going to happen. |
