I was thinking of removing my long drawn out struggles with the flash suppressor b/c I went way way off topic? What's your opinion JAC and the gang.

If you're talking about deleting the posts, PLEASE DON'T!!!

They are valuable information for future CETME owners that will certainly come here with the same problem. We have little enough activity in this forum as it is; no need to go deleting posts, especially since they're at least on topic to the forum itself (unlike half the mosin posts *chuckle*).

heres pics of my baby, it started out a a century build on a cast reciever, with all the usual problems. but now it is awesome, after a new bolt head, carrier, fcg parts. it boasts a .011 gap after a few hundred rounds. i built a custom skelotonized forearm for it with a hand grip, i mounted it too far forward the first time so now i moved it bakc to the rear. i built my own cheek rest and it turned out really nice. i added a browning boss style muzzle brake, it is the 4th different brake i have used and it works the best. reducing the recoil by at least 50% i built my own scope mount using u channel steel and see thru mounts.

Sharp as she ever was, how'd you build the foregrip? . Due to the fact that private security forces in iraq are using the PTR-91, we may see a revival of parts and new things being developed. Yeah.

well to build the foregrip i used a spare cetme pistol grip and ran a bolt from the handgaurd to the bottom of grip and then tightened it and filled it with epoxy. also filling the edges where it meets the gaurd, i then filed and sanded it so it looks like one piece.

is it strong and secure? Looks like you sanded the handguard down to nothing except a bottom rail. I would definitely give this a try myself. I've been looking for the tri rail handguard but they are sold out or cost $300.00...for the specific reason of getting a handle. I've also eard the PTR handguard is pre drilled and threaded with holes for rails to be added? I'm currently researching that one???? Thanks for the info and welcome to the gang.

the bottom strap of the wood is surprisingly rigid, its the meatiest part of the wood. and the epoxy adds some strength too...so yes it is very sturdy.
you just have to watch your fingers after a mag dump.
the barrel is quite hot

If I can get this to work, here is some pictures of my Spanish Lady and some of her with some of her friends.
As you see, I bought her some new clothes. I seem to like the wood better. In the group picture is a Chicom Air rifle, a Tula T03-78-01 .22LR, Rosalinda herself, a Stevens Model 200 .308, and a 12 ga Mossberg 500A
