Picked this one up several years ago when the cetme hit the market. Love shooting the rifle. It is one loud mother!

How's it going guys? Since this is my first post, I figured this a good a place as any.

Oh yeah .. on the last picture, on the inside of the charging handle, is something with the inside of it? There's no functional problems but I was just wondering.

In the third pic, you might notice my WASR-10/63 laying in the background. My other baby.

It's pretty new (to me). I purchased it a few months ago used for about $300 and it came with two 20 round magazines. I haven't really put too many rounds through it (Maybe about 100). One thing I noticed was it when I first fired it using Wolf ammo, it was jamming pretty badly. But when I used the Winchester .308 it worked flawlessly so I'm guessing it was the whole steel/brass thing.

Question

New to the site, it is good to see that I am not the only one who thinks the world of the CETME rifle. I tried to sell mine some time ago to be some knife making tools but glad that I kept it. Great shooter. I did notice that in several of the photos, HK magazines were used instead of the factory CETME mags. How do you get them to work? I had one and it would'nt lock in the mag well. Are they reliable? I know that the HK ones are cheaper. Someone let me know please. Thanks

My H&K mags came with my CETME, and I've never had one failure to feed or any problem with them so they're pretty reliable.

sometimes you need to file the lips the catch locks to. Their are three extruding bumps on each side of the HK mags. These sometimes need to be dremelled down a small amout to get them to lock in.
