| Charles Daly/Zastava in 243
I stopped at the local pawn shop and checked out a Charles Daly they had on the shelf. Blued rifle, synthetic stock with a Mauser action. It was a Zastava import that I understand is now the Remington Model 799 (?). How good of rifle is this? They had it priced at $299 which I thought was plenty cheap - especially since it has a Bushnell 3200 Elite scope on it. I figured the scope was worth about $100 used makign the rifle $199. Anyone have experiance with these?

These Zastava rifles were imported into my country for a while, I beleive the Chas Daly articles are better quality than the ones we received. I own a .223 Mini Mauser and frankly, its not the best action I`ve ever used but as I`m left handed it doesn`t really matter. I feel as though I could drop it in silt and stand on it and it`d still cylce. I had the creep adjusted out of the trigger and nothing else save some home polishing of the bolt etc, its a comfortable rifle to have in ones possession. Just today I went to the gun shop ( looooong time since I`d been there ) and one of the guys remarked that if I ever wanted to part with it to give him a call. I can`t see that happening. I`d say if its still there, get it down and take a look at it. It shouldn`t let you down.
