Jericho Pistols

I am interested in eventually buying one of the Jericho pistols that Charles Daly is carrying right now. I have shot the 9mm and the .40 at my local range, but they didn't have a .45 to try. Does anyone know if the .45 shoots as beautifully as the other two?

I carried the IMI baby eagle (Jericho) 45acp for years, was a beautiful pistol shot everything I fed it and was trouble free. If I had one complaint about that pistol it would be that the israeli's keep changing the name of the company that builds them .

First things first PeteZaHut, hello and welcome to G&G.

As for the Jericho's, I'm not sure I'd ever want to have to use one if my life depended on it though?

For days at the range for plinking or target shooting, or for shootin' cans in an open field, you bet. Just my opinion though. And that's only my opinion because of the old saying "you get what you pay for"?

The Israelis' tend to make decent firearms though. They look tough as nails and, to be honest, I guess I have no room to talk as I've never held one let alone shot one. And if I ever do get to do either, and find out I am/was wrong, I'll gladly admit it. But like some makers of firearms out there, there's some with a top of the line, a middle of the road, and those found on the side of the road because they pieces of ? Well, that's still just more of my opinion. lol To each their own.

Wanted to add, had, and wanted to be fair and at least do a little looking into, will look more when I have more time, but, for the price this one is going for, I could think of a few others at that price range that I'd much rather get? Especially if one just saved or spent a couple hundred more???

I guess for me and how I feel, it's the fact the name has been changed a few times that makes me have to wonder as to why? Those that do that, or that have done it, do or are doing it to get away from a bad review and to start anew?

Actually I believe that it was KBI that originally brought the IMI Jericho auto's over here. I bought a 9mm Baby Eagle new in about 94 or 95 and liked it so much I set about finding the Jericho 941 set that KBI had imported a few years earlier. Took me more than a year but I finally scored a like new set and about 200 rnds of factory A/E ammo for a fair price.
Over the years I have let several folks that had expressed interest in the Baby Eagles to look mine over. Every one of those people said the same thing that they have to be the best feeling and handling hi-cap auto they had ever held. They shoot great too, possibly alittle heavier than some would like but from looking at the newer ones it seems they may have introduced a polymer frame version to cut down on weight.
As for quality. Lets put it this way the Israeli's know how to open a can of "whoop azzz" and they know how to design an excellent firearm. You can bet the switching around of importers is only due to $$$ and who is making the best deal for the manufacturer.
If I could have only one auto handgun for defense it would be a tough choice but the Baby Eagle/Jericho would most likely win out. I have had a few glocks, shot acouple Sig's, and one H&K. The only plus I see in a glock is lightweight, otherwise had I not been getting super deals on them my ownership of Glocks would have stopped at ONE and I never felt the need to spend the $$$ on a Sig or H&K but I can say they make some very nice auto's.
