make your own suppressors

so i heard that you can legaly make your own silencers, and all you need is to get a BATF form 1 and then pay the tax stamp.
does anyone know if that one tax stamp will cover you to make a few silencers for all your guns?
also does anyone know of a book, video, or website that will teach you to make real metal suppressors?

Sure you can, but one needs to make sure they're legal to own in the state in which they reside is all? Isn't the tax stamp a per item thing?

i live in AZ so shouldnt be problem with law, and I need to have a design to send in before i can do it? well i definitely need to get some sort of plans, or be able to make and test some sort of prototypes. is that legal?

call a firearms lawyer , no one here should give you that kind of info . sorry but i have to cover my ass . a good firearms lawyer can be found in ads in the magazine small arms review.

JMHO, but unless you're a talented machinist with access to a machine shop, you're better off getting the proper tax stamp from the BATF and buying a commercially made suppressor. There's a lot to making one that works, and different calibers have different requirements. They're not a one-size-fits-all kinda thing. You'd be much happier with a well-made item that works good, than something you cobbled up. Be prepared for a large price tag though.

i bought one and after the tax stamp mine was only 450 bucks.

Sweet! I'm trying to get my hands on a Hi-Point .40 carbine (yeah, I know. But it's just for a fun-gun, OK?) and I'd like to see if those can be suppressed.

i am in the prosess of comeing in to some great machining tools but uh i guess ile hold off on that for now. KR how do you like the TAC, and have you ever used the YHM? the p22 is the exact gun i was getting this for.
