| I'd go with the Ruger. I have a folding stock just like that one only blue on one of my mini 14 s and like the way it folds really compact

| Get a Mac 11 or a 10. with a Lage upper and stock. If you get the 11 its a handy fun and home use SMG. Or get the 10 with the upper and be a big boy in 45. Both with the Lage upper have a slow controllable rate or fire making a pretty accurate SMG on par with a MP9 with more options. Also with the 10 you can shot 9mm and 45. I am working on shooting a even cheaper bullet out of the 10. The cost is also better 3000-3500 plus $900 for the upper and a few extra bucks for some other cool stuff. Less than all 3 that you are looking at and less to feed. |

| When I first posted not all of this came up. It didn't show it as a survey. Trust me you don't want to advance on a crew serviced 1917. We used to shoot amour piercing incendiary rounds and it was devastating. BUT it's not a gun for an individual.

| my .45 Mac 10 is a lot of fun but unless you are attacked by Columbians in an elevator, your other choices are more practical

| Im not talking a stock MAC 10 bullet hose. As for practical its all in who shoots the weapon and how good you are. I take it you have seen these uppers and tried them then? If these 3 are it, get the FNC. These are nice and I have tried them. The ruger is ok but the mag insertion kinda stinks. The AR 18 I have not tried. Hell might as well shoot the wad and get a 16 lower and shoot what ever caliber you want easily and THAT would be practical (22,9mm, to what ever). The PRACTICAL 16 can get parts anywhere as where the other you search a bit. Just a thought |

| I'll add here, while (as I said) I'd go with the AR-18, the Ruger has a lot of appeal. I tried an AC-556 once, the three round burst makes you look way better. All your focus can be on aim, not on trigger control. Having the safety separate from the selector is a nice touch too. If you were looking at a full length Ruger, rather than the 'K' you have an interesting advantage. With a flush magazine and a scope mounted you have an auto-rifle that looks like a light hunting rifle. Set it in your gun case next to a Winchester 70 and it wouldn't get a second glance. Anti-gunners would get a lot more worked up about seeing an AR-15 (nasty black assault rifle) than a Ruger (polished wood and shiny blue steel). |
