supressed 10-fp

instead of buying a new gun i am thinking about supressing my .308 savage 10-fp.
i wonder if i should buy a new barrel and have it threaded before it gets shipped to me?
i know about the existance of subsonic loads.
any thoughts?
p.s. i will make my own ammo.

yeah the barrels are easy to get you will have a blast.
