| BMF Activators
I've seen a few things described as BMF Activators, they say they clamp on to the trigger guard (of semiautos) and you crank them and the gun fires as you crank. Its kinda like the Gattling gun the way the crank is set up. Now my question is, exactly how legal are these. It says they are legal to install because it only fires 4 rounds per full rotation, but any idiot can figure out that you can just crank it as fast as you can and go thru a Ruger 10/22 50 rd clip in under 15 seconds.

I have a couple of them ,and 1 broken one...When they are set up right, they work !!! They are legal as Long as you do NOT hook them up to a Motor. As long as the gun is semi-auto, and you crank it by hand it is 100% legal. Rich

Yep, I bought one many years ago and it came with a document certifying it's legality. It pushes the trigger 4 times for every rotation of the crank. I still have it somewhere.

Even if you manage to get one adjusted to work properly and don't screw up your trigger guard in the process, they are a foolish waste of time and money

Well if you read your instructions right, they come also with nylon screws. I have had my BMF Activator for years and it is fun and works like dream.

I don't consider it a waste of money if using a .22. Thats why the .22 is chosen, because its so cheap. Do you buy firecrackers and rockets on the 4th? Same concept. I never would classify having fun while shooting a waste of time....why would it?

But as far as the waste of money and being foolish I have a hard time offering my opinion. I agree with the statement completely, but its your trigger guard and your cranking desire...lol I built a rotating felt covered cam that does the same thing. As cool as that is, it was still a novelty item and not to be taken seriously. It did work well...??? lol Still a joke to me Last edited by Trigger Happy; 04-22-2009 at 10:34 PM. Reason: sp
