| The Mayor ![]() | Custom Rifles For Southpaws Hi folks. I don't know jack about competitive shooting. I own a .300 Winmag that I'm customizing for 1,000 yd. shooting. It's a Ruger MKII and I'm just wondering if it's worth it. I have a long ways to go before I'm ready for competition or Camp Perry. LOL! I guess I'm asking for some direction, here. I need to know where to go from here, or should I start all over again? I have access to a 1,000 yd. range and I thought this rifle would at least get my feet wet before I jumped into the really expensive equipment. It won't take me long to figure out if this is truly worth pursuing or not. |

| Stag Arms makes true lefties for us southpaws. You can get a .223 or the newer 6.8spc. Lefty Rifles G-Meister

| without dumping a fortune, glassbed it, and put a good scope on it. if you decide you like it, then you can have a purpose built rifle, and transfer the scope over. |

| I'm a southpaw, and I don't think I could shoot a lefty rifle w/o a lot pf practice. lol. Seriously, if you've got the money, I think it would be worth it. If I could get them for around the same price as right-handed rifles, sure. I won't be penilized for being left handed though. Snuffy

| I am a southpaw too but am am right eye dominant. So I shoot rifles right eyed. Hand guns are a bit of a problem as I tend to sight with the right as I mentioned and like to pull the trig with the left. My accuracy is about equal with either hand. I qualified as expert in the Army though. Full auto was way more fun in 1970. |
