Last High Power Match of the Season.. :(

Today was my club's last high power match of the season.. The weather was perfect at 55 with a very light breeze.. Unfortunately, neither Texnmidwest and Ninja Piper both were able to make the match.. So, I took a bunch of photos for the club and for everyone to enjoy..

I decided to shoot my German made Swedish Mauser, made in 1900.. Shooting Prvi 139gr, it put them right were I wanted and I ended up with my best High Power score at 391..

For those who haven't fired a High Power match, and have fired a CMP match, we'll just say that the targets are a lot smaller in HP and it's even more challenging than CMP, which is a heck of a challenging match!! But, both are a lot of fun!!

Anyway, here's a few photos of today's match..

Great pics Paper!!!! Glad the younger shooter made it out this time as well! He seems like a great kid and is learning at a very rapid pace! I think we have the makings of a National Match shooter right there in Beloit Wisconsin!

Rimfire Next Weekend!!!! I truly enjoy those matches!

Yeah, and he keeps getting better and better with every match!! Kudos to both parents for involving him, and it sounds like the daughter may shoot next year, too..

That would be great to see them shoot! I was sad to see that Christopher didn't continue shooting the matches. He was getting better as well!

Cleaned out my loose ammo drawer and put all the M2 ball into an ammo can I had on hand....I counted over 200 rounds. Also found a bunch of 22lr ammo I didn't know I had as well as a bunch of other stuff....Like my 12g bore snake!

Chris helps his Grandpa at gun shows, and I ask him when he's going to start shooting matches again when I see him.. Typical teenager, he's got other stuff he's interested in right now..

He'll come back around.

I think it was 391, or maybe 396?? I can't remember..

And yes, the only gun I'll ever need.. I think I'll use the 1942 Husky M38 for the first match next year..

I think Dan should give us all a chance and shoot one of his 10/22s in the next one!
