.45LC / Colt Ammo

Hey guys,

A few months ago I purchased a Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .45 colt. It doesn't have the conversion cylinder to shoot .45acp. When I baught it, I found a sale for 50-rounds of .45 for $15.

Since then, I haven't been able to find a price close. My best bet would be to start handloading these cowboy rounds, and it will probably come to that in a year or two. Until then, I was wondering if any of you know of a place to get .45LC ammo as cheaply as possible.

Thank you for your advice.

I've bought at local gun shows for about 16.00 a box(Houston, TX). This is well worth the investment in reloading. You can cut the price to less than half, and load any type of bullet you like. I even load black powder for mine.

Have you tried cabelas.com? I think they have some. But you'll have to search.
