I'm going to have to detail strip and degrease it though, it's all gummed up with a cosmoline-like grease all over the insides.

that's one nice pistol.you are smart to detail strip it and clean throughly.be sure to clean it between the first few magazines.the break-in period is most important.i think you'll find there is nothing like owning a colt.
