| OK, so I've had this box of baseball cards for about 4 years. They were given to my wife for free and she brought them home to me. There were some decent cards in there. I estimated the replacement value at about $4-500 based on the grading and condition of the cards, which means I might have gotten $150-200 for the lot at a card show. After zero bites on the lot on craigslist, I decided to make a Christmas gift of them and give them to a cousin of mine who is a trader in general: guns, land, collectibles, etc. I took them home this weekend and tried to drop them off. Well, he wouldn't take them, he insisted he give me something for them. I finally told him, "well, I'm looking for a semi-decent gun to keep by the bed. If you come across one that you think is worth what these cards are worth in your dealings, keep me in mind." "Wait right there," he tells me as he disappears into his home office. Well, he brings me back a Colt King Cobra 4" barrel and tells me to take it on the condition that if I ever decide to sell it, I call him first. Wow! I was expecting a Bersa thunder or something like that. I was floored and appreciative. After the shock wore off, I was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to take this thing to the range. It's much too big for me to use as a carry gun (I'm 5'5" and about 155), but it will make a sweet home defense piece. I'll let you guys know how she shoots. |

| Cool. I have a ton of basketball cards left over from my kid 90's type. I don't have the first clue what to do with them.
