Colt Delta Elite

Anyone out there own one of these?

I am strongly considering it as my next firearm purchase, and would like to know of any pros/cons.

Does the 10mm wear out recoil springs faster than the .45 ACP?

Thanks in advance.

I have a friend that has one and she has shot Hundreds of rounds thru it without a hitch...It has good springs in it from the Factory to handle the 10mm round .
Ammo is getting hard to come by...

Hope you get one Midas. I've got it on my wishlist. In the 10mm that is. I love the Delta model. I've got a couple on my watchlist at gunbroker just to see how much they end up going for. Unfortunately, kind of out of my price range at the moment.

But now if I sell my motorcycle, I know a couple things I'll get. lol

Seriously, hope you get yourself one...

Why on Earth would you sell your motorcycle?

There was an article in Shotgun News about the Delta Elite about a month or two ago.

Ditto on the shortage of ammo.

Why, because I have a bad neck and back and this year/summer alone, I've put maybe 15 miles on it. Bought it new off the showroom floor in 1987, so 22 years ago this august 15th. It's obviously paid for, insurance is all but $275 a yr. for full coverage. Trust me, I don't want to sell it.

But FWIW, that's why.

I saw 2 of them at different booths at the show in Mansfield, Ohio a couple weeks ago. One was NIB, priced around $950 if I remember right. I was tempted to grab it. The other was in great shape, a little less in price.

What's the going value on them? I was just focused on a small 1911 and have a big one so didn't look too hard.
