| Benchrest Pistol Anyone. Some of us at my local range like to set down at bench and see how accurate our pistols are. It is a lot of fun to see just how well those reloads hold up to factory loads. It is also a lot of fun to see just how accurate those dang 22 pistols can be. So I made up a set of rules and a web page to see how many other people would be interested in this sport. I also started a journal for texas internet matches. Here is the link: Benchrest pistol matches |

| I like that, this way you can only blame yourself for missing.I am a pin shooter and plates and build all of my own guns. They all shoot very well, that means they shoot better than me. |

| I learned the art of shooting open-sighted .22 pistols at the 110 yard berm from a now-deceased older gentleman - he could sure make a soda can dance with his Ruger 10 inch barreled Mk.II! A couple weeks ago, me and another feller got into a friendly match with our .22WMR single-actions. I felt real good when my Eyetalyun-made $25 repro/cheapo beat his Ruger Single-six. Hehehe. It's just a matter of practice. Sometimes I'll wow the yokels with my little Whitney Wolverine semiauto - no soda can is safe at the berm. If someone poses a real challenge, then the bull-barreled Browning Buckmark comes out to dance.

| Member | My T/C Contender with the 10" .22 match barrel and a Leupold 4x using RWS R50 shoots sub moa from a bench. But being a single shot it does not meet the rules requirements. |
