Pretty impressive, although, I'm sure there are people on this website who have claimed to have put 1786 in the same hole

Anyone know how big the bullseye was? 50 ft doesn't seem like such a distance, but what impresses me is that he kept shooting consistently all day and didn't lose accuracy.

Even that size at 50, with open sights of the day, is a small target but to put over 1700 through the same whole is phenominal. My suspicious nature would ask who were the people verifying the young shooter did not throw 1775 or so shots completely off the paper to give the appearance that all 1786 were fired at the center of the target? Or if there were even credable witnesses to the fact at all? BTW, I can flip a large fender washer in the air, draw my revolver, and put a round through the center every time. Yepper.....fer sure! LOL

The way I read the article, which says the picture is a composite target, he went through several targets but all of his shots were in the "bulls eye". It isn't a hole the size of one bullet, it's one ragged hole. I have shot ragged holes about that size with a 10-22, and at longer range. Where I fell short of his achievement was that my shots were made with a scope, there were many flyers outside of the group, and I didn't persist for 11 hours and 1776 rounds. Mine were more like 100 or so, fired from a Ruger 10-22 using large magazines.

There's no way to know that the round goes through the hole if it does. You'd only know if it hit the washer. So one could claim that the bullet goes through the hole each time. I think that's part of the humor.
