I can do up to 50 yards easily, but more than that becomes difficult.

I can also shoot a lot (Military, Handgun, Shotgun...air gun, what ever you want).

it seems a fair amount of us cant get to a regular size range easily so
25 yards?
i have access to a 300 yd. range but that doesnt mean i can shoot worth a darn.

If you wanted to include a .22LR shoot, you could use these targets: http://www.mytargets.com/target22%20circles%20x20.pdf

I know some of you favor certain targets, but I've actually used these in the past to compete against friends. Basically, you set this up at a distance (in this case 25 yards), and you get 20 shots. The scoring is easy, 1 point per shot that is fully in the circle.

Plus the target is free

Just an idea.

Oooooo, I just looked it up...That's cool

I say we do something like that for a .22LR shoot

Which target were you looking at specifically? I see a few of the black death ones..

I'll probably end up doing .22 Scoped, .22 Iron Sights, .22 Handgun (<- that'll be fun, it shoots all over the place). I'll also do Springfield 1903 and maybe a .45cal handgun...

The problem is that I may not be able to do it until late September

Sounds good, I'll do the same. How are you going to double the size of the black death?

What's the pistol length? My range only goes out to 15 yards for pistols and 100 for shotguns.

Sounds good to me. Do we use a bench rest with sand bags? Or whatever? Do you double the size on a copier?

Do you double the size on a copier? yes
as far as .22's go i was going to have anything goes whatever you want to shoot but there are only going to be 2 classes
1 scoped
2iron sights
pistols i dont know what to do with.
if you have a .22 pistol use it but there are still only 2 classes
otherwise this will turn into a P.I.T.A. for me.

this is for fun. i dont want to dread it.
if you want to make another class go for it.but its YOUR baby!

billy I dont think the black death targets will be good for open sights here is the issue YOU CANT SEE THEM EVEN AT 2X THE SIZE AT 100 YARDS couldnt see it at 25 with open normal. I have the site to check out targets made for the longer ranges that you can download for free and i know how to score properly but for some reason I cannot post it.

I think I'll just shoot my .22 to show how horrible the gun it...or more likely, how horrible I am with it.
