| Senior Member | Anybody know anything about the 1887 lever-action shotgun? For some reason, this thing intrigues me. Trouble is, the only place I've ever seen one is in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It's the one Arnold carries and uses while riding a motorcycle. I've never seen one in real life. Has anyone ever used one? How do they perform? I presume they are legal for CAS; the design dates back far enough. Does anyone know the current market price on them? They are available from Southern Ohio Gun Distributors, presumably modern production of an antique design not eligable for C&R status, and probably chambered for 2 3/4 inch shotshells. (Southern Ohio Gun's website is not exactly brimming with information.) Any information will be appreciated. |

| Senior Member ![]() | In my younger days I used both a .10ga and .12ga smokeless powder version. They were big and heavy and worked as designed. The U.S. hunters had already went with the slide action shotgun and there was no turning back. What the chinks are putting out, aside from looks doesnt even remotely resemble the original. sam. |

| Banned | The original is something i would love to own.The chinese made ones are a little rough and ready but cheap enough to belt them around in the scrub or as a ute gun.The one i really want to own is one of the australian made ones. They arent bad quality.Made in lithgow, the same factory that produced a hell of a lot of smles and assorted other firearms and machinery. The lithgow small arms factory/ADI made a limited run of a copy of the 1887 winchester. All were bought very quickly and still command good money. What is totally bloody stupid is our gun laws. Its ok lto own a lever action shotgun that can hold up to 6 or 7 shells. But all pump action and semi auto shotguns were banned. You can own a pump action or lever action rifle. |

| Senior Member | I have an original that I really love. It's been in the family a long time. The Norincos are good guns but the action is rough out of the box and need some slicking up or heavy use to smooth them out. I don't have a Norinco 87 but I do have a Norinco 97 and that's been the case with it.
