I love my brace of .45 caliber Ruger SAs---my NMBH, [ shot mostly with smokeless powder]
My genuwine Colt "Cowboy" which by the way I only shoot with Holy Black loads, as it is a "Colt" and not built to withstand the modern smokeless stuff in large quantity

I like the cowboy guns. With the second 6 shooter, I could technically compete in matches. As much fun as this sounds like to do, I don't have room to add another hobby to a hobby. Time and cost are just not there. In the mean time I love to shoot them.

Billy, let me know how that Marbels works out. I have my eye on one for the 1892. Just gotta let go of the $100. What did Henry end up telling you, or did Marbells get your question answered?

Best,
Jerry

I didn't think it would be an issue. It's (S/N) still there afterall. Just didn't want to throw down on some info that I wasn't 100% clear on.

i have used the marbles before.
they are the way to go.
it opens the door to really finding out what can be done with a levergun without putting modern sights/scope on it.

i figured i am already $680 into this gun whats another $90 now?

Billy, Billy, Billy...

Dear Billy, and no doubt you have become dear to many in this forum,

I am uncomfortable around folks and guns. I like the range to myself. 'Course I go 3-4 days a week and get paid for it ! I just loved your idea of an eggbeater as a survival tool!
I am going to shoot an original 1886 Winchester in 45-90 tomorrow as well as an original colt SAA. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!
Heck, Billy I probably have 19 guns in my living room! A broomhandle, a merkel, a 455 s&W, a 1911A1. A luger, A real belt fed 1919. (My wife of decades says I am an ass). I don't own them all but they make me service them. I probably own about 50?
'Course I'm 700 years old and started "foolin' w' guns" in the 60's.
I have to know the logic of the eggbeater! Expond, please!

well the eggbeater has many uses ,not all of them benign.
when the commies or even shudder the canadians capture you after S.H.T.F.
you can dazzle them with your soufflé making skills and then make your escape when they are full, relaxed and drowsy while you are still full of pep because you only ate the egg WHITES so that you would be light on your feet for your daring dash for freedom
in trained hands an eggbeater is a horrific weapon to behold
before they knew it those commies/canadians would be getting pounded like cheap veal
thus endeth the lesson..

What are my thoughts on cowboy shooting... hmmm, let me see...

1. The cowboys are bound to start shooting back eventually.

2. When does cowboy season come in? I didn't even know there was a cowboy season.

3. What do you bait the feild with, saloon showgirls???
