| 1ST MATCH..... Well, I went to my 1st SASS match yesterday. Having never even seen one except on tv, I must say it was a great time. But I sure was nervous. I had my share of misses but had mostly dings. On my 1st shotgun target somehow I managed to pull both triggers on my double barrel. What a bang that was. It was a good test for the old Ithaca. Looking forward to the next one. Bob |

| I imagine 90% or more of CAS shooters do it just for the fun of it. RugerBob, Welcome. Relax, enjoy yourself. One day you might go to your closet and realize you have more Old West Clothing than modern stuff.

| Congrats on taking the step to become a SASS member and begin to shoot in SASS competitions. I bet you were nervous. I'm sure as hell sure I would have also been, without a doubt. I think that's natural. Now on you pulling both triggers on your dbl. barrel at the same time. Did you get a penalty or warning or anything like that? Was there any repercussions from doing that or anything? Or nothing at all? And as Johnny Revolver said, please keep us posted and up to date as to your progress...

| When I was done shooting that scenario I had 2 misses and a 'P'. I think they called it a proceedural (spelled wrong I'm sure). The 2 misses there were from the handgun. I did end up reloading 1 shell to complete the shotgun stage. The shotgun didn't seem to be affected, which suprised me as its a1910-1911 Ithaca. Thanks all, Bob |

| Check how they score you right after you shoot, after clearing your guns. Normally they can point out what you missed and explain the procedural. Knowing your mistakes helps you do better in the future.
