Remington's Imported SXS Coachgun

I've had one for awhile now. It's the stiffest shotgun I've ever used. When I first got it everytime I shot it I got a blood blister on the top of my middle finger. I narrowed the trigger guard with a Dremel Tool and solved that problem. I'll have to work on that stiffest through.

Thanks

I still feel a bit uneasy about Remington's Russian supplier (I believe it
is spelled Bakael or Bakail). I have not been able to bring myself to purchase one of their guns as I do not believe they are truly at Remington's standard.

However, it is a competitive market and improvements may be forced
on Remington.

I've got one made by the same Russian manufacturer, Nathangdad is right, I think it's Bakail. It was really stiff when I got it. It really needs a lighter spring kit like the IGA Stoegers have. Its a sturdy gun but wood to metal finish isn't the greatest. I took a lot of flash and burrs out of the action, but I could pull the trigger without assistance
put some 800 grit lapping compound on the pivot and kept opening and closing the gun until it was polished. Just need to get lighter springs, then maybe it won't close itself.

Part of the problem is that the SXS market is tight. When I started CAS I could buy a good used SXS for $125. Those days are gone.
