On ocassion I shoot my Colt SAA. Matching SAA 5 1/2" barrels, blue. All the SAAs and the rifle are .45 Colt.

Well if I feel like old west shooting I shoot the Marlin 32-20 lever. I will shoot the 1897 Winchester shotgun soon(made in 1903) The oldest handguns are a 1913 luger and a Colt police positive 32-20. Other wise I shoot more modern stuff like my ww-2 guns. ps I also like my Winchester 06 22lr pump.

Interestingly, you are not the only poster to have a negative comment about the Russian imports handled by Remington. Could we have a seperate topic on this matter? I, for one, would like to have more info from the forum on the Russian guns.

Are you refering to the Spartan? I have a O/U russian in 20gauge, and the only problems I had was that it was tight to open up/break open. After about 200 rounds its alot better and still functions great. Of course I bought it before remington got involved. And at 225 dollars new in box in 2004 I can't complain.

| Thanks. That's not counting the other pumps, bolts, singles and percussion. I'm kinda shotgun poor.

CAS Guns Howdy, I have 2 sets of Ruger Vaquero Bisley's, in .357 blue & .45LC in SS. I used a '92 Rossi, .45LC in SS, and Original 92 Winchester, in 38WCF. I use a '97 Winchester, 12 gauge and 1878 Original Colt SXS, 12 gauge. I use a '06 Winchester Pump, 22S, l, LR, for side matches I use 1911 Colt, .45ACP, Mfgd in 1918, for WB matches. I got 2. Depending on what I fell like and the stage calls for, I alternate shotguns, not calibers. If I start with .45's, I stay with them. If I run out of 12 Blackpowder for the 78 Colt, I use the '97. I'm in the process of getting a 16 gauge Winchester '97, depends on the price. I ain't gonna get suckered in to buy, altho I have never been had by this Gun Dealer. jkrzos Tincan Sailor Trusty Shellback Vietnam 65-66 My 1911 beats a 911 call!

I changed from a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12ga. to a Remington 870 Express 12ga. for small game 12 to 15 years ago, could of been longer. I have bought in the past year 2 other shotguns that will see time small game hunting one being a Mossberg model 930 semi-auto 12ga, Turkey shotgun and the other an NEF Pardner pump action in 20ga. I'm hopeing the NEF will do well and I'll just use it from now on if it shoots straight. My main center fire Deer rifle has been a Marlin leveraction in 375 caliber for the past 15 years or so. Before that I hunted with a Remington 742 semi-auto in 30-06 for 25 years give or take a year or two. I bought a Ruger boltaction rifle in 308 last July so I suppose thats my main Deer rifle now...A.H Last edited by ArkansasHunter; 07-03-2008 at 11:37 PM.
