i recently sent off the paperwork for a c&r, and noticed they took the $30 out of my debit account, does that mean they accepted my application? thanx in advance!

More than likely your license is in process. I do not have my own C&R so I can't tell you for sure. I know with one license they charge you just for applying.

Let's me wish you congrats, in hopes that everything turns out well!

For them to cash your check before the application is approved is normal.

If, for some reason(s) you are disapproved, they will simply cut a check on their account to reimburse you.

I wish you the best and I'm sure all will be well in the end.

Just so you know your approval may take as lttle as a few weeks to as much as two months as it did for me.

Why? I'm not sure except that I think the time of the year makes a difference where most people take vacation time/time off during the summer and around major holidays. Just a hunch on tht though.

It was within about two weeks of the check clearing the bank that I saw my C&R in the mail.

Wink C&R time frame

A few years ago I submitted a renewal app and waited, and waited, and after my C&R expired I called and faxed and emailed and still couldn't get the lincense until I called my Congressman. The license was overnighted to me the next day. Since then I have renewed twice witout a problem.

Give them time 60 - 90 days, that is not too long to wait for a 3 year license. Remember it is the GOVERNMENT and they are always SNAFU.

Patience...patience...patience.

I mentioned it could take up to two months. AND...I know one guy who waited nearly THREE months.

I have no idea of who you have on your mailing list.

I have justa few C&R sources.

But...congrats on finally getting it.

Now you got to get a log book or some sort of approved acquisition and disposal record going, LOL.

I was told it does as long as the necessary info is there and that each page is numbered.

But, I opted for caution and still did a bound ledger where it can be clearly seen pages were not removed which would alter the information.

A buddy of mine was going to get a c&r a while back and had ordered a collectors kit which he has just given me. It includes a spiral bound collector record book among other things , so thats pretty cool. Now i am just waiting for the copies of my license to get to the dealers so i can go broke! ha ha ....i think thats a joke......

Congrats on getting approved Billy!

Welcome to the wonderful world of C&R!

You must have a book that is bound and can not be taken apart, at least that is what the require of FFL holders. They do give a list of print shops with approved materials and such.
