Former FFL holder question

I am about to apply for a C&R FFL. Question 11 asks about prior FFLs.
At the end, at least of the CLEO copy, it states a "Yes" in section 11 could disqualify an applicant from obtaining an FFL.
The first question in section 11 asks if the applicant has ever had an FFL. About 1980 I did have one, to allow me to work on firearms, refinishing gunstocks. I have a woodworking shop and folks would now and then ask me to refinish a stock. To be on the safe side, I obtained an FFL.
I didn't renew it when the three years passed. How would any of this prevent me from obtaining a C&R FFL? Would that only be if any of the other questions in section 11 were answered yes?
Thanks

Call the local ATF and ask....that is no big deal. I would bet that they would want your bound book and all your old records if you are not licensed anymore.

Just pull up the ATF government site and find the number to your local ATF type. I had a question about my C&R and when I talked to them they were more than helpful. I seriously doubt that they are not going to give you a C&R when you have already had an FFL

stay safe

I would think it is to check to see if your previous FFL was revoked by the ATF.

Having had a FFL in the past may even speed up the process.

Just give'em a call.
