| Former FFL holder question I am about to apply for a C&R FFL. Question 11 asks about prior FFLs. At the end, at least of the CLEO copy, it states a "Yes" in section 11 could disqualify an applicant from obtaining an FFL. The first question in section 11 asks if the applicant has ever had an FFL. About 1980 I did have one, to allow me to work on firearms, refinishing gunstocks. I have a woodworking shop and folks would now and then ask me to refinish a stock. To be on the safe side, I obtained an FFL. I didn't renew it when the three years passed. How would any of this prevent me from obtaining a C&R FFL? Would that only be if any of the other questions in section 11 were answered yes? Thanks |

| Call the local ATF and ask....that is no big deal. I would bet that they would want your bound book and all your old records if you are not licensed anymore.

| Just pull up the ATF government site and find the number to your local ATF type. I had a question about my C&R and when I talked to them they were more than helpful. I seriously doubt that they are not going to give you a C&R when you have already had an FFL stay safe

| I would think it is to check to see if your previous FFL was revoked by the ATF. Having had a FFL in the past may even speed up the process. Just give'em a call. Nick |
