New to C+R collectibles

I just filled out my C&R application. Does anyone know what the turn around time is? Where can I look for C&R pistols and rifles? I have a Carcano with a german 98 bayonet. After reading about them I became very interested in the history of the gun. I have read that you can puchase the 7.35 ammo but it is highly unreliable, better off reloading. Any additional info would be much appreciated.

Hey there Billrow, welcome to G&G! I've heard turnaround times of anwhere from 3 wks to three months depending on the backlog and how motivated the BATFE is. For places to shop, go to www.shotgunnews.com and look at their advertisers section. The more common places are J&G Sales, AIMSurplus, your home for surplus ammunition, guns and firearms, Classic Arms Inc., KY Imports Home Page and a whole bunch of others. FWIW, you can also pick up Shotgun News at your local bookstore or Wal-Mart. Happy huntin! Oh yeah, I believe Hornady is loading for the 7.35 Carcano now, take a look at Graf & Sons - Welcome they should have it.

I got mine in about 34 days from the day it went into the mailbox. It really depends though. Usually it will get done though, just takes a bit of patience.

Welcome to G&G and also to the world of C&R. Turn around to varied to put a time on. They are lightening quick to get your money, but usually take thier time on getting your paper work back to you. When you get it be sure to make copies of your license and do not sign the original. Sign each copy before sending out to dealers to place on file. Then have fun. Your credit card company will love you. Good luck!!

And send a copy to SOG too and Midway. Its amazing the places that will give you discounts. Oh yeah.....cut up the credit cards and put all money in the wife's name alone. If you don't you may soon find yourself approaching bankruptcy.

The requests are usually pretty fast. Mine was only a bit over a week. I'd toss them another request.

My license took almost 3 months, though..

New to C&R collectibles

Hi everyone, I'm the new gal on the block. I sent off a request for an application about 10 days ago and 5 days later received a notice that they were on back order and would send me one as soon as they were available. So much for Plan 'A' for my hubby's Christmas Present. On to Plan 'B'. Maybe I'll have it in time for his birthday in June....I hope.

Worth the wait though. The catalogs, discounts, special offers and sweet deals, are pretty awesome and a lot of fun. Keeps your pocket book on it's toes, but still worth it.. 7weeks for me..6 weeks after they charged my credit card.. !! patience !!

New to C&R also

is there an age minimum for file for C&R? I want a m44, sks, and AK-47 so bad and since its only $30 for the C&R for 3 years sounds better to get the C&R first and wait a little.
