| is this a C&R CHINESE TYPE 53 moisin nagant Rifle ? some say it is and some say its not? |

| Yes it is as long as it is pre-1958. Straight from the ATF Website: Firearms automatically attain curio or relic (C&R) status when they are 50 years old. Any firearm that is at least 50 years old, and in its original configuration, would qualify as a C&R firearm. It is not necessary for such firearms to be listed in ATF’s C&R list. |

| T53's were produced from 1953-56, and 1960.

| T53 is date stamped on top of the barrel above the chamber. Mine is 1956.
