more C&R Q's

so how exactly does one save money from buying from an importer with ones c&r?

im still a little confused on this notion.

and can someone give me some links to some of the bigger importers, so i can see their sites, and get an idea of prices/availability/what they've all got.

thanks.

you can order from them direct and have it shipped to your door without having to pay a transfer fee, some places like midway and brownells and others will give you a discount for having a FFL on file with them.

You're also buying at dealer prices. Check out Centerfire Systems, Inc. or AIMSurplus, your home for surplus ammunition, guns and firearms weapons and compare the prices to your local shop.
You'll find the guns much cheaper, and you're not paying transfer fees, as mentioned. You will be paying for shipping, but if the sellers are close to you, shipping is pretty cheap.

I'm fairly close to AIM and SOG, and a rifle is usually at my door in 3 days, and for around $15. Of course, if you order a second rifle, it's usually only $3-4 more than ordering one..

My last order was for the $39.95 batch of 5 M44 Mosins from Centerfire, and shipping was $27 for all 5 rifles. Speaking of that, I should have a cosmoline removing party..

Ditto, I could not stand waiting for something that long. I would have spent the money on something else.

They haven't charged my card.. That's why I'm only a bit grumbly about the whole deal.. The card doesn't get charged until the order is processed with items in stock.
