| Pistols in NY
Since NY doesn't allow a federally granted license holder to receive pistols w/a C&R do you have to pay a transfer fee to an 01 dealer or is it not necessary to do the paperwork as if it were a sale to a non-licensee?

can't say for sure about the ny laws but cali is the sames as far as c&r handguns. we have to go through a ffl and pay for a background check and transfer fee. it sucks!

You will have to do all the paperwork....purchase document etc, before the 01 dealer would ever consider giving you a pistol. So he will charge you a fee. Your C&R does not mean anything to him, since NY law over rides who can have a pistol in their possession and requires it to be on the license or have a purchase document to buy one.
