452 vs 455

I posted in my last CZ thread that I wanted to buy a new .22 as a companion to my old one. Im in a bind between the 452 and the 455. I know that the 455 has the interchangeable barrel thing going on but to be honest that has no appeal to me, as I only use .22lr, and theres nowhere for me in Canada to get the kits. I know the differences, like the new trigger, shorter barrel and stuff, but I want to know the opinions of the members on G&G and what they would do in this situation. Maybe someones opinion will make me lean towards one over the other. BTW, it will definitely be a Lux model.

I own a 455 American, beautiful gun, shoots great. I have a 452 Trainer, great guns shoots a little better than the 455. But I think that's more how well the Trainer fits me. Just got my new 452 Lux 22mag. LOVE it !!! Changed the trigger spring with an ACE one, it's just perfect now. I got long arms, and the new 455 Lux has only a 20.5in. barrel and the stock feels different. I'm not telling ya which one to buy. Just think you'll be able to get a 455 for years to come, not so on the 452. Oh yeah, Buds just lowered the price on their 452 Lux 22lr, and 22mag.

You can get barrels for the 455 in Canada at the warranty center in Quebec.
I have both 452's and 455's; they can shoot equal to each other NIB. The 455 lends itself to accurizing a bit better. Headspace can easily be adjusted for optimum clearance on your ammo unlike the 452's threaded barrel. The 455 has a beefier receiver at top, the rear tang is wider and squared off. Gone are the barrel lug that some earlier 45x models had, instead there are 2 actions screws and a free floated barrel. Fit and finish is a bit nicer on the 455's also. CZ changed a few of the manual machining operations to CNC. This helps keep constant surface speed on the tools. Gone are the ugly skip marks and grooves on the breech face, bolt is also finished nicer on the nose with the endmills. 452's are discontinued so if you want one NIB, jump on it , as there aren't going to be many around in theis condition for long.

I have a 452FS in .22rf and a 455FS in 22WRM, do like them both. I tried to find another 452FS in 22 mag, but could not find one. Turns out I like the 455 as well, and both are excellent shooters. Also bought a 455 Combo, took the .22 rf barrel off and installed the .17HRM barrel, really have not have the time to work with it. What little I have shot it with only one load looks good.

How do you like the .17 on your 455? I've been thinking of changing mine also.
