Boxer primed or Berdan primed for the CZ52

Hello all. Been shooting Wolf , S&B, and Bulgarian milsurp ammo out of my CZ52 and have never had a problem. Today I got 2 boxes of Norinco for $8.00 apiece. Anyone shot this ammo and how did it perform? Also, I've only shot boxer primed ammo, this is berdan primed. Can anyone tell me the difference?

The only difference I can tell you is, one can be reloaded, the other can't. And if I remember correctly, it's the Berdan primed that can't be reloaded?

Boxer primed is what is most in use today. There is a single flash hole in the bottom of the case for the primer to work through. Berdan primed was used by ComBloc countries and has 2 flash holes and cannot be reloaded easily. The Bulgarian you had was berdan primed as well. They don't really perform differently, just a difference in construction.

Boxer primers were developed by a British Military Officer, they have a single hole through the primer pocket and an internal anvil. These are mostly used in the US.
Berdan primers were developed by an American. They have two holes through the primer pocket and the anvil is part of the primer pocket. These are mostly used in Europe.
Boxer are readily reloded. Berdan take a little more effort.
If you need to reload Berdan primers, maybe you have a rare hard to find type of brass, you can buy a special tool or use the hydraulic methond of forcing out the primer.
Neither type appears to have an advantage except that Boxer primed brass is much easier to reload.
