| Darn…Now what?? Please help. So I really need some help with this one. Here’s the first group of five shot at a measured 50 yards in the rain this AM. Never shot a MKII before but they are meant to be pretty accurate. The problem is how to bring out the full potential of this rifle and shrink the group size a little. The bigger problem is that I never shoot paper other than to sight in so I’m just not good on a target. This group was the first shot after sighting in a “new to me” MKII American. I’m the third owner of this rifle and am finding it a little hard to accept that anyone wouldn’t be happy with it. My first thoughts so far are to

Yeah, I'm not surprised the other owners punted it on. If I were you I'd buy a few more cases of different ammo to try out, and maybe another case of the same stuff just in case you got a bad lot. You don't mention what scope mount you have, that might be an issue as well. Trouble is real good accuracy costs money so there might not be any gain from spending a couple of thousand dollars on it, but then again, there might be. Have you checked the trigger actuator nut? It may be a bit loose or maybe even gone walkabouts. If my suggestions don't help, and you feel you can't really accept that sort of accuracy, you could always parcel it up & post to me in Scotland. I accept all sorts of junk. Have a nice day.
