| The TT33 has a nice feel to the grip, but that skinny trigger is uncomfortable to me. It feels lighter than the CZ52, and can't take as powerful a round - don't use the hot stuff! The CZ52 is much more "modern" looking and feeling, and can take a hotter loading. Both are good dependable pistols, and can be pretty accurate. It basically comes down to personal preference - older design vs. newer design. I like 'em both, though I don't own either yet - I shoot my buddy's pistols.

| It really depends on what you want to do with the pistol. If your goal is to obtain a cheap, but powerful, plinker that can fire a wide variety of mil surp, then the vz-52 is the answer. If you like to tinker, the vz-52 also makes more sense, at least at the moment. A few years ago, the CZ was virtually unknown, while the Tokarev had the advantage in replacement parts, etc. Now, parts and upgrades for the CZ abound, while the Tokarev is more or less marking time. The vz-52 is more popular at the moment, and many people own several of them. Long term, the Tokarev will be more desirable from a collector's POV. Personally, the vz-52 is probably the ONLY pistol that CZ-UB made after WWII that I do not like. Even then, the Tokarev is nothing to get really worked up over. For someone interested in the diffusion of Browning's ideas, the Tokarev is really a good buy for your collection. As a pure shooter, it is $100-$300 that is not being spent elsewhere. My advice: buy a current-production CZ or a Pistolet Makarov.

| Ok Here We go I have a cz 52 (down to one) and A t33 Tokarov (early chicom norinco import....1985) I bought both guns "new" I have shot and shot the tokarov and shot it some more. I have worn the barrel It still shoots great ya just can see the wear on the rifleing I have done trigger jobs on both guns and "slicked them up" Both are very very accurate. The tok is easier to shoot accurate because I left it with the original sights The cz 52 is just as accurate but harder to shoot accuratly because I have installed A O Express tritum sights on it. It makes it faster aquisition for combat applications and they glow in the dark, it is just more of a chore to make that gun hit a soda can @ 75 feet and farther. personally I like the feel of the cz after I ground the corner edges near the trigger on the right side of the pistol. Getting the aftermarket finger groove mag floor plate and hogue wood grips helps that gun alot also. There are more cool guy acessories for the cz than the tok. If ya like to fiddle, get the CZ If ya like to shoot get both hell I like to fiddle and shoot both. sorry if i didnt help ya make a decision. ya cant really go wrong with either
