| Senior Member ![]() | CESKA ZBROJOVKA in Prague started manufacture of the Cz27 in 1927; by the time of the German Occupation in 1939 about 15,000 had been produced. Most of these went to the Czechoslovakian Police and civilian markets. The Czech Police retained their weapons during the German Occupation. Some of the first occupation pistols roduced bear the "CESKA" legend on top of the slide, and AKAH or GECO German commerical import logos. A few of the early occupation pistols bear German Army acceptance stamps and /or test proofs. The German name for the Ceska Zbrojovka factory was Bohmishe Waffenfabrik A.G. (Bohemian Weapons Factory, Inc) and the "BOHMISCHE" slide legend was adopted during 1941 shortly after occupation military production started. Variations are based on slide legend ("CESKA", "BOHMISCHE" and "fnh") and subvariations are based on finish (high-polish blue, military-blue and phosphate). Serial numbers range from about 20000 to over 475000 for a total production of 455000. About 9000 pistols with the fnh code (sn476000-485000 some with the E/WaA76 stamp) were produced after the war. A few pistols with the 'BOHMISHE" slide legend are without serial number and bear a Nazi eagle 4 and a U prefix number etched on the slide. These may have been pre-military production test pistols.--"AXIS PISTOLS" by Jan C. Still In 1945 and 46 the Czech Ministry of Defense ordered 45,000. The pistol was phased out in 1949 for the CZ50. Production had reached over 620,000 pistols. There are two rare variations and those are a .22 long rifle and a variant to use a sliencer.--"Know Your Czechoslovakian Pistols" by R.J. Berger

Personally, I wish it did have one, but I can totally understand his reasons. Also kind of glad it doesn't. I mean we both know there are those that rip [people off. Not having a for sale section to me keeps it friendly without the problems of someone ripping someone off. Not that anyone would rip someone off, but it does happen and I'd hate to see it happen and the site get a bad name because of it. If you really want to sell it, GunBroker.com Online Gun Auction or anyone of the other sites out there... Quote:

| Thank you Glockmeister. I have it on my Gunsamerica account. I really don't know how anyone that owns a site could be held accountable if a deal went bad. That would be like blaming the owner because you got some bad info about a rifle or pistol. "Hey, so and so told me on this site that the Nagant pistol I was looking at was worth $1500.00, so I bought it. NOW I find out is only worth $75.00, I'm blaming the owner of the site because I got screwed." The CMP site is FULL of sale items. I gotta figure there is a lawyer somewhere at the bottom of the decision NOT to allow adds on this site. AJ Last edited by AJ100; 05-01-2008 at 06:17 PM. |
