| The 'Z' on the trigger guard means it went thru the official refurb program, to address some issues with the guns having problems with the safeties. Often, taking the safety off would drop the hammer! Basic rule of thumb is, don't trust the safty on the CZ52. Keep the hammer down on an empty chamber til you are ready to shoot. Don't carry "cocked and locked" the way we do our M1911's. Otherwise a good handgun. I don't know about the circled T mark.

| Hey guys, I know I am bringing up an old subject. I have been researching the cz52 a lot lately trying to decide if I want it or a mak. I found a listing of markings on the cz52 and what they mean on glocktalk.com . The circle with a "T" in it - "Signifies the barrel was proofed in the factory. It will be found on the outside of the chamber, and can be seen through the ejector port on a fully assembled pistol. This marking only applies to 7.62x25 Tok barrels. The 9x19 barrels with this marking were converted from 7.62x25. See below, as some European 9x19 barrels were re-proofed and found their way into the US." Hope this helps. The full listing on glocktalk is at this link CZ Vzor(Model) 52 information - Glock Talk |
