CZs for competition shooting?

Am new to handgun shooting, got addicted on a buddies BrowningHP, but after a sticker shock decided to go with a stock CZ-75B. I am also investigating IPSC at the same time, no sense in doing this half way. I was wondering If anyone had tried using thier CZ for competion and how they did with it. I was suprised to see that there is at least on top level national competitor who uses a CZ. If it's any help I'm a "trained" aim shooter, but do the point+shoot thing fairly well to, at least with shotguns.
