| I've always read of the CZ52 being quite a strong pistol. It can handle ammo that would damage the TT33, which has the same chambering. It does have known issues with the hammerdrop safety, but this doesn't affect basic function.

| It's been reported in the past that the CZ-52 is one of the strongest pistols made because of it's roller action design and the czech metallurgy. Some people are now saying that it's not quite as strong as once thought mainly due to a thin area below the chamber. I believe what you are reading is not that it's weak, but that it's not as strong as once thought. Also remember, they're 50 year old pistols, that had as long as a 30 year service life, some will be worn out. |

| i dont remember where it was that i read it. but they were actually saying that the TT33 was capable of firing ammo that hurt the CZ-52. I mean i dont want to believe it because i love the look of the CZ-52. And i've also read that it was an amazing pistol. just needed reassurance from the guys that i know are smart on the subject |

| Some dipweed by the name of "Clark" was going to every forum on the web stating that the CZ52 was a weak design. He would wayyyyy overload them...blow 'em up up and declare the sky was falling over and over and over like a broken record. He was a dangerous individual and a nutjob....people either stopped listening to him or he got kicked off the forums for his broken record crap...

| idk i searched but i cant find the article againt. the guy might have been biased though because he kept saying how the TT33 was great and the CZ-52 was not. But i could have sworn in the article he stated the TT33's he's shot have all been able to take stronger load ammo than the CZ-52's he's shot. But like i said i like the look of the CZ-52 more. I went to AIM Surplus today to pick up the TAPCO synthetic stock for my SKS and the whole time i was waiting on them to process the order i was just starring at the CZ-52 they had sitting in their display counter.......... ![]() |

| Remember, these 2 weapons were designed to fire THE SAME military std round. There were several sub-machine guns that also fired this round. Even the soviets/communists were not stupid enough to load 2 different rounds with the exact same dimensions. Just don't shoot tok in your C96 and you're fine |

| i think you guys have swayed me back to getting it. its a great looking pistol and a great round need to pay more attention. AIM Surplus was selling some guns from a private collection and it had two CZ-52 pistols. One was very good condition and 109 and the other was excellent for 119. both came with two magazines Last edited by nick112207; 12-09-2007 at 07:28 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
